Several new faces have joined the DILG Region III  this  past few months.  Again, we are pleased to announce the two newly hired employees for the Accountant II and Admin Assistant II positions.

Let’s get to know more about them…

Rosette S. Cruz earned her B.S. in Accountancy degree from Guagua National Colleges in Guagua, Pampanga. Before she joined the Department, she worked as a bookkeeper at DILG – KBP Cooperative . Her 8 years of working experience will perfectly fit the duties and responsibilities of an Admin Assistant II.

Jean Hazel P. Bacani is from Del Carmen, City of San Fernando. She received her BS in Accountancy degree from Holy Angel University in the year 2011 and in October of the same year, she passed the Certified Public Accountant Board Examination.  She will fill in the vacant Accountant II position of the Accounting Section, FAD.

…After all the series of rigid examinations and screenings, fifteen (15) lucky applicants were awarded their much deserved appointment as Local Government Operations Officer II.

And with pride, we present to you the newest member of the family:

AGAY, ERNEST KYLE DEL ROSARIO
(SELF-PROCLAIMED EDSA BABY)

Kyle is a native of Malolos, Bulacan and was born on February 22, 1986. He graduated BS Civil Engineering at Bulacan State University in 2008. Now, he is a Licensed Civil Engineer with working experience as Fabrication Engineer and Construction Superintendent. Best interest? Basketball, dancing and he also loves to watch cartoons. =)

ALVERO, GRETCHEN PASCUA (BATCH’S BUNSO)

Born on August 12, 1991, she is considered the youngest in the batch and also the lightest. She is from Brgy. Pag-asa, Rizal, Nueva Ecija. She graduated BS in Business Administration major in Financial Accounting in Araullo University, Cabanatuan City. Gretchen had working experiences in New Rural Bank of San Leonardo, Inc. as Documentary Clerk and in GM Bank of Luzon, Inc. as Accounting Assistant. She also served as a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Kagawad. Favorite sport? Badminton. She says that she really wanted to be a full-pledged public servant because she wants to be involved in the country’s major concerns.

BARROGA, ANGELO ALEXIS CARDONA (GARY V.)

Golden voice of Anao, Tarlac, Alexis was born on January 23, 1985. He was an Academic Excellence Awardee of Tarlac State University and a Licensed Teacher. He is a former Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman. For almost 4 years, he served as an Administrative Officer I (Sangguniang Bayan Secretary) of the Local Government Unit of Anao. He is expert in webpage and graphics designing. His favorite quotation is from the book of Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

BLANCO, PAUL MICHAEL MACASO (KUYA MIKE POGI)

Mike, as most call him, was born on June 12, 1978. He is from San Roque, Dau, Pampanga. He graduated in Angeles University Foundation with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and landed a job in American Online Services Philippines, Inc. as Level II- Technical Support. He preferred to be part of the government service because he sees it as a fulfilling job.

CATINGCO, MARY KESIA EDRALIN (BATCH’S ANNE CURTIS)

Kesia is from Nagmisahan, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. She is born on December 09, 1983. She graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management in Central Luzon State University and continued studying to earn her units in Master of Science in Education at Central Luzon State University and units in Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Wesleyan University-Philippines where she has been an Academic Scholar. While she was earning her Master’s Degree units in 2006, she became a Youth Service Provider in the Local Government Unit of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija and then became a Youth Development Assistant the following year.
Singing with all of her wits is one of her character that is loved by many, and Anne Curtis’ ALONE is her favorite piece that shows off her superb belting power.

CUCAL, KARLA NALDINE TOMAS (THE RN)

Karla is a pretty lady from Brgy. Poblacion, Gen. M. Natividad, Nueva Ecija. She was born on December 21, 1990. A Registered Nurse from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. She was a former Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Kagawad. She dont get much into art but she can’t live without music. She use to say, “rock and roll lage!”.

DE GUZMAN, RODOLFO SALINDONG
(THE FINANCER)

Doods, as they fondly call him, is born on October 27, 1981, that is why he is considered one of the batch’s “kuya”. He is married, with a child and is happily residing in Bantug, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. He graduated from Central Luzon State University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2001 and started working as a Revenue Collection Clerk I in Economic Management Enterprise, Municipality of Guimba. In 2008, he became an Accounting Clerk II in the Office of the Municipal Accountant in the same municipality and became the Office of the Municipal Treasurer’s Cashier II in 2009.

MANIPON-GABRIEL, IMELDA CARLOS (MISIS LAWYER)

Imee is from Singat, Gerona, Tarlac, born on September 17, 1978. She graduated from University of the Philippines-Baguio with a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics in 1999, where is a consistent dean’s lister. After graduating, she earned units in Master of Arts in Teaching – Mathematics in Tarlac State University, while she is a math instructor in AMA Computer College, Tarlac City. In 2004, she entered law school in the University of the Cordilleras and graduated in 2008. As of now, she’s waiting for the 2011 Bar Examination result.

GABRIEL, OMAR JAMES NUEZCA (MISTER LAWYER)

The other half, Omar is born in Benghazi, Libya on October 14, 1981. He went to Saint Louis University in Baguio City to take up AB Political Science in 1998 to 2003. Then pursued law school in 2003 at the University of the Cordilleras, where he met his loving wife, Imee. Now, they are contentedly residing in Singat, Gerona, Tarlac. He says that it has always been his dream to work in a prominent government institution so that he will part of this department’s tradition of excellence. As of now, he’s waiting for the 2011 Bar Examination result.

GARCIA, DIANA JEAN MAGAJES (MISS PRIM AND PROPER)

Diana is simple, quiet and single lady from Balanga, Bataan. Born on January 7, 1985, and an alumni at University of the Philippines-Los Baños with a course of Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management. She was an accounting clerk of Bataan Doctor’s Hospital and Medical Center before she entered the Department.

LAMPARAS, JOHN OLIVER TESORO (KAIBIGAN)
John was born on February 28, 1983 in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. At present he is residing at City of San Fernando, Pampanga. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences- double major (History and Political Science) at University of the Philippines- Baguio. For almost 6 years, he devoted his time working at Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Region III. His favorite quotation was from Deng Xiaoping-”It doesn’t matter whether the cat is black or white as long as it catches mice”.

LORENZO, EVELYN LOPEZ (MRS. PRIM AND PROPER)
Born on August 21, 1983, in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Evelyn was a consistent valedictorian in grade school and high school. She then went to Central Luzon State University to take up Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in Chemistry and graduated in 2003. In 2004, she took up Master of Arts in Educational Management and successfully finished the Academic Requirements in 2006. Mrs. Lorenzo is now residing in Macatbong, Cabanatuan City. She was a full-time teacher in various schools for 8 years but she believes that she really wanted to contribute the best of her abilities to serve the public.

SAWIT, GIRARD MANARPIIS (COURTEOUS EVER)

Jeje, as we call him, is born on June 17, 1986, in Licab, Nueva Ecija. He is a constant honor student from elementary to high school and took up BS Agriculture in Central Luzon State University where he is a DAR Scholar. He was once elected as a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Kagawad in their barangay. After completing his course, he became a Marketing Assistant in Nueva Ecija Convention Center for 5 months. He then served as a Science Research Analyst (June 2008 to May 2009) and Rice Sufficiency Officer (June 2009 to present) in the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRICE) located in Nueva Ecija.
He is the batch’s most courteous, and he is adored by many because of it.

VALDEZ, MELODY ESTONILO (THE SONGSTRESS)

A devoted mother of 2, Melody is a native of Dipaculao, Aurora. Year 2000 when she finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Philippine Women’s University as a consistent Dean’s Lister and passed the licensure examination on the same year. She had been practicing Social Work profession for 11 years.

VILLANUEVA, MARI GRACE JINGCO (MS. COOP)

The most popular among her batchmates, Grace is single and was born on January 11, 1982. She is from Guagua, Pampanga and achieved her B.S. Accountancy at Guagua National Colleges last 2002. She is friendly and easy to be with. She served as a posting clerk at DILG R-III Kilusang Bayan sa Pananalapi Credit Cooperative for almost 7 years.

DILG R3 CONDUCTED PRE-ADMISSION TESTS FOR QUALIFIED LGOO II APPLICANTS

The DILG Regional Office III through the Members of the Regional Selection Board Assessment Committee Team conducted the Selection Process by administering series of Pre-Admission Tests for the Forty-Five (45) LGOOs II applicants on October 25, 2011 for the Aptitude and Behavioral Tests. These were followed b y the Individual Oral and the Group Oral Interview on November 14 and 15, 2011, respectively. All of the three (3) phases of examinations were conducted at the Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office III Training Room.

The Selection Process was aimed to gauge the maximum potential of the applicants in every subject matter in order for the Management to select only the best and deserving applicants who have the capacity to carry out the mandate of the Department.
